Miele Triflex HX3 Aqua: Cordless Stick Vacuum That Also Mops Your Hard Floors
Quick answer: The Miele Triflex HX3 Aqua is a cordless 3-in-1 stick vacuum that also wet-cleans hard floors with its AquaTwister mop head and 300 ml water tank. It suits homes with mostly hard floors and limited storage. It runs up to 70 minutes on low in handheld use (per Miele). Available at Vacuum Supermarket in North Vancouver, BC.
Can the Triflex HX3 Aqua vacuum and mop?
Yes. You vacuum first with the MultiFloor electrobrush, then click on the AquaTwister head to mop. Two rotating pads scrub as you push, and the 300 ml tank has three water levels: lighter for hardwood, wetter for tile. On sticky kitchen spots you can hear the pads working.
Is the Triflex HX3 Aqua good for allergies?
It’s a strong choice if dust or pet dander bothers you. Its HEPA filter captures 99.999% of fine dust and allergens, as tested to IEC 62885-4 per Miele, which helps reduce what goes back into the room. The filter isn’t a lifetime part. How often you change it depends on your home (pets, dust, how often you vacuum), and Miele’s general recommendation is once a year.
How does the 3-in-1 design work?
You move the PowerUnit to where you need the weight. In Comfort mode the motor sits low, so the handle feels light under beds and couches. Reach mode moves it up for stairs and ceiling corners, and Compact mode makes it a handheld for the car. The stick also stands up on its own mid-room.
How long does the battery last?
As a handheld on low, it runs up to 70 minutes per Miele. With the electrobrush attached, runtime depends on your floors. Its FloorDetect technology senses the floor type and adjusts suction and brush speed to what that surface needs, so the battery isn’t spent on full power where you don’t need it. The battery swaps out, and a full recharge takes about 3-4 hours.
“Isn’t this a lot to spend on a stick vacuum?”
Look at it as two machines in one. The HX3 Aqua replaces a cordless vacuum, a spin mop and the bucket in your closet. For condos and townhomes across the Lower Mainland, that freed-up space matters as much as the cleaning.

Who it’s for, and who should look elsewhere
A good fit if you: have mostly hardwood, laminate, vinyl or tile, live in a condo or townhome with little storage, or have pets that bring in the rain.
Look elsewhere if you: clean a large home in one go. The Triflex HX3 Plus Aqua comes with a second battery, so you won’t stop to recharge halfway.
