Comfort Mode — PowerUnit sits near the base. Weight is balanced low, making long cleaning sessions surprisingly easy on your wrist. The machine stands on its own when you pause. That last part sounds minor until you're actually rearranging furniture mid-clean.
Reach Mode — PowerUnit moves to the top, near the handle. Wand extends fully. Ideal for ceiling corners, under low beds, and staircase edges that most sticks can't touch without getting awkward.
Compact Mode — Detach the PowerUnit and use it solo. Sofa cushions, car seats, bookshelves. Fully independent handheld with the same motor running.

Q: Is the Triflex HX1 Facelift powerful enough for carpet? A: Yes. The Multi Floor XXL electrobrush auto-detects carpet and increases suction automatically. That said, it's best on low-to-medium pile. Very thick carpet — think plush bedroom shag — is where a corded canister might still edge it out. For mixed-surface homes (hardwood with area rugs, wall-to-wall carpet in bedrooms, etc.), it handles both well.

Q: How long does the battery actually last? A: The honest answer: it depends on several things at once. PowerUnit running solo on MIN power, hard floor, lightly soiled — up to 60 minutes. Add the electrobrush, move to low-pile carpet, and you're drawing more power. Switch to long-pile carpet or a heavily soiled area where the motor works harder, and runtime comes down further. MAX power mode shortens things considerably. So rather than one number, think of it as a range based on what you're actually cleaning that day.

Q: What's the difference between the HX1 Facelift and the HX2 Pro? A: More than people sometimes expect. The HX2 Pro runs a more powerful Digital Efficiency Motor, which does give it a genuine edge in suction performance over the HX1. It also adds LED lighting on the brush head, comes with a second battery included, and a few additional accessories. That said, the HX1 Facelift shares the same Twist2Open dustbin as the HX2 — that's not a given across the lineup and it's part of why the Facelift punches above its price. Same patented 3-in-1 design, same Hygiene Filter. If the stronger motor and the extras justify the step up in price for your household, the HX2 Pro is a serious machine. If not, the HX1 Facelift is a well-rounded buy that doesn't ask you to compromise on the things that matter day to day.

Q: Is the filter really maintenance-free? A: Not exactly. Miele recommends replacing the filter once a year under normal use. That said, how often you actually need to is personal. If your home has pets, or you're dealing with heavier dust loads, the filter picks up fine particles faster. If the colour has gone grey rather than returning to white, it's time to replace it. 
One critical thing: never rinse this filter with water. It's not a washable filter.
